In-person and virtual lessons are currently available.

Students and families who wish to have in-person lessons must follow the policies below.

Introduction

The procedures below are designed to ensure that all students and families in my studio remain healthy and that illnesses are not spread through in-person lessons. It is the responsibility of all students taking in-person lessons to follow these policies, with the understanding that I will be as accommodating as possible to come up with a solution that works for everyone in the event that a student or family member of a student is ill.

Alternatives to in-person lessons

If there is a period of time where a student cannot come to an in-person lesson due to illness, I can arrange for a virtual lesson, a make-up (catch up) lesson on another date, or a refund if no other option works.

Procedures for in-person lessons

  • All students/parents are required to complete the attached screening form prior to every lesson. If you answer “yes” to any question on the screening form, please contact me to discuss whether we can continue with your lesson or if we need to reschedule or switch to a virtual lesson.

  • If you or anyone in your family is not feeling well, please contact me to reschedule your lesson.

  • Masks are not currently required for lessons, however students who wish to wear masks can request to continue wearing them for their lessons. Depending on the type of symptoms noted in the screening form, I may offer a lesson with masks as a possible accommodation to a regular in-person lesson.

  • When arriving for your lesson, please leave your violin or harp case and outdoor shoes in the foyer.

  • Hand sanitizer or soap and water are available for cleaning hands if students need to use a tissue during their lesson.

  • As a teacher, I will follow the same policies and will notify all students in the event that I am unwell and arrange for alternatives to in-person lessons.
